Turning Tides?

Yesterday, I was one of the Business and Tech Women panellists at Acronis #CyberFit Dubai Summit, including Vanessa Vaughn Mathews, MBA, CBCP, Maréva Koulamallah, Elaine Wang, Catherine Bond Muir and myself. Each panellist spoke of their journey.

While acknowledging we still have a way to go, having been a minority for the majority of my life, it is truly a pleasure to see such diversity among the rising stars of business and tech.

On cloud 9!

Later that same day, I came across an article by Erin Carson reporting 38% of women in tech are planning to exit the industry in the next two years!

This data is further substantiated by McKinsey’s annual Women in the Workplace report, stating 1 out of 3 women across all industries are considering downsizing their work.

On a devastating nose dive from cloud 9!

After recovery, my thought turned to WHAT can we do NOW to persuade the rising stars to remain, flourish and mentor the next generation of women in business and tech?

Be deliberate.
