What is your Super Power?
I was recently asked this question and after some thought, I replied: “I have the ability to continuously convert failures into lessons learnt, as I continue to forge ahead.”
I never allow that initial burst of disappointment or anger from a failure to cripple me into inaction. I take those negative feelings and turn them into positive ‘fuel’ to power my way forward.
I love the saying, “Don’t get mad, get even”. This doesn’t mean to hit back with your fists or even with your words. To me, it means to succeed in spite of them.
If you give up because of a failure, then YOU are the FAILURE. If you learn from failure and use it as a stepping stone towards success, you are a SUPERHERO.
Recent world challenges are examples of how to use this super power. Instead of focusing on what should and could have been, we can centre our efforts on continuously learning to develop remedial and preventative measures to put into place as we tackle them.
Some recoveries will be easy, others more challenging and few will seem impossible. But, with the right focus and determination, all will be achievable.
In short, this super power turns negativity into positive energy, to go forth and conquer.
Be a superhero in your life’s journey,
